Well, here are a few things that may help motivate you and make you feel worthwhile making that extra effort for Ramadhan.
Quran: “O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqoon (the pious”) [al-Baqarah 2:183]
Hadith: The Prophet ﷺ said: “Indeed, there is a gate of Paradise called Ar-Rayyan. On the Day of Resurrection those who fast will enter through it; no one enters it except for them”.
Hadith: Prophet Muhammed ﷺ_ said: “He who fasts has two joys: a joy when he breaks his fast and a joy when he meets his Lord. .”(Bukhaari and Muslim)
Hadith: The Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever fasts during Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah’s rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven.” [Sahih al-Bukhari]
Hadith: “When the month of Ramadan begins, the gates of the heaven are opened; the gates of Hell-fire are closed, and the devils are chained.” (Sahih Bukhari)
The month of Ramadhan is the month of Allah
Allah showers his mercy, forgiveness and blessings for his servants in this blessed month:
✯ Every Fardh (compulsory ) act you do , Allah gives you the reward for doing 70 Fardh acts.
✯ Every Nafil act you do , Allah rewards you of doing a Fardh act
✯ The smell coming out from the mouth of a fasting person is better in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk. (Sahih Bukhari)
✯ Allah says for every good act you do out of Ramadhaan I bless you with Jannat and the blessings of Jannat, but for the fast you keep “I become your reward”.
